Job Description
NemaLife Inc. is a techbio startup located at the Texas Tech Innovation Hub. We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented candidates to be part of our data science and analysis team. As a member of this team, you will help us label large amounts of video data using machine-learning tools and provide feedback to our technology group. Joining our team means playing an integral role in important research efforts and the development of our machine-learning technology.
These positions are part-time with an hourly rate that is commensurate with experience. No prior training in programming or machine learning is required. Employment authorization to work in the US is required.
What We Need
Responsibilities:

Use analytic tools to locate, label and categorize elements in videos using AI/ML software tools.

Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure process integrity and quality control.

Provide user-interface and software performance feedback to lab manager, technical lead, and director of operations as we design new features for more efficient labeling techniques.

Gain an in-depth knowledge of the custom annotation software capabilities, including labeling, processing, and dataset export tools.

Engage in team meetings, emails, etc., regularly communicating feedback to colleagues and leadership.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

Ability to perform repetitive tasks while paying constant close attention to detail and deliver accurate and precise work.

Ability to work independently including managing your schedule and completing projects on a deadline.

Ability to be a good team player and communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds.

Ability to understand and apply training guidelines for annotation.

Ability to learn and retain new information and apply it to a variety of projects.

Ability to keep information confidential.

Ability to work in the NemaLife office located in the Texas Tech Innovation Hub.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience working in a professional, office environment is preferred.

Prior experience with business productivity tools like Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Skills such as programing, development, graphic design or web design are a plus.

Previous laboratory or research experience is a plus.
