Infinity Screening System FAQ

What worm strains could be used in the Infinity System?


Any worm strain that has a body diameter of more than 50 microns can be used.

Do I need to grow animals on plates to do lifespan assays in the Infinity System?


Yes. Animals are grown to young adulthood on agar plates using standard protocols (e.g. as described in Wormbook). Animals at young adulthood (typically older than day 2 from hatching) are transferred into Infinity Chip for life-long culture.
